I made some of my closest friends by joining the Badminton team. At the end, they surprised me with a sweet going away card. 
Swansea was a great location; I would recommend getting involved in a club if you want to make the most of your time there! 
Due to budget constraints I was not able to do a lot of traveling on my own so I was excited by the Interstudy excursions. 
London felt like home in about 36 hours. In a city that attracts people from quite literally all over the world, I never felt like an outsider. 
The Interstudy experience really helped to enhance my time in South Africa. It is wonderful to know you have a resource to turn to for help, advice, or friendship. 
Becoming friends with some truly amazing individuals, roaming the streets of Cork, day trips to the coast - my time in Ireland was nothing short of fantastic. 
Eating Cape Malay food, having braai's with other South Africans and learning to talk like a local was so much fun. 
I joined the Mountaineering Club at Queens and it was easily my best on the spot decision. With this club I met fantastic people, the kind of individuals who accept anyone and everyone. 
The best part of my experience in South Africa was by far meeting so many great locals. Within the first week we became best friends with some local guys and I wouldn't trade anything for all the times we had with them. 
Cape Town stretched me far beyond anything I'd encountered before, and for that I'm such a changed person. 
First and foremost, all future Ireland students, DO NOT miss your chance to travel the island as it is the most beautiful thing I ever imagined I could see…visit the beautiful Killarney country-side; visit Galway City and lounge around the port; and take as many day trips as you can.
I retained a soft spot for touristy Trafalgar Square. During my last weekend, I roped a few friends to climb the famed bronze lions at dawn. The Square never looked so beautiful than from the back of that lion, with the sun lightening the sky into a delicate, milky blue, and my new friends watching it all beside me.
I would recommend studying abroad because it really expands your view of both the world itself and your place in it. I wouldn't trade my experience in Ireland for anything.
The other students in the program were incredible. As a unit, we were so close with one another. I developed friendships that I know will extend beyond South Africa and will hopefully continue for the rest of my life.
I met a lot of great people from all over the world! I also joined the King's College Boat Club where I learned how to row, and actually raced for the first time.
From walking through aromatic bazaars to attending raucous rugby matches to surfing New Pier Beach, Durban and South Africa's diverse offerings are for those adventurous at heart.
While studying abroad in Cape Town, my experiences included a wide range of things, from volunteering to jumping out of an airplane!
I could have never expected to gain what I did while I was abroad in Cape Town. I was completely blown away by the people, the culture, the scenery, and the overall lifestyle that I found there. These things will be with me forever.

One of my favorite adventures in South Africa would have to be an overnight backpacking trip with the UKZN Mountain Club. We hiked 10 kilometers to a rock overhang in Wonder Valley. I have never seen so many stars in my life, it was absolutely memorable.
My colleagues and I are looking forward to welcoming all interstudy Africa students.
What's great about working with interstudy is that they hold your hand in the beginning, but then give you the freedom to make it your own unique experience. 
The multiple braais and excursions within interstudy were some of the most memorable days. My absolute favorite day was going to Mzoli's in Gugulethu with a few other students and being able to soak up the atmosphere and exuberance of township life. That was the day I felt truly at home in Cape Town.
