Academic Calendar

Though formally structured in line with the traditional three-term system common in Britain, the Swansea academic year offers sufficient flexibility to permit semester-based enrollment for Interstudy students, both Fall and Spring. In the Fall, semester modules are assessed by essays and a special exam or by essays set at the end of the semester. Fall Only students should be aware that the following departments require that students be present for exams in January: Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry. In the Spring semester, assessment is made based on essays and end of semester exams. All students are required to remain until such time as they have completed and submitted all assigned work for assessment, or taken all examinations.
