      King’s nine Schools of Study are Arts & Humanities; Biomedical & Health Sciences; the Dental Institute; Law; Medicine; Nursing & Midwifery; Physical Sciences & Engineering; Social Science & Public Policy; and the Institute of Psychiatry. As a study abroad student you can choose your modules (courses) from a wide range of options across several Schools dependent on scheduling. If you are taking modules in the Biomedical & Health Sciences; Physical Science & Engineering (except Math); Music or Geography Departments supplemental tuition fees will apply. The majority of your classes will be small, with considerable emphasis placed on tutorial and seminar teaching.

    • Preferred application deadlines are: October 15th for Spring semester and April 15th for Fall semester. Call for availability after these dates.
    • At the time of application a student should normally have attained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.  Students should hold Sophomore, Junior or Senior class standing at the time of application.
    • Course pre-approval is provided for some courses in advance of arrival; final registration takes place on-site.
    • Students are encouraged to take courses in no more than two departments and are discouraged from mixing Arts and Science courses due to the likelihood of scheduling conflicts.
    • Students taking courses within the Faculties of Science or Music should be aware that supplemental tuition fees will apply. The supplemental fees are set by the government and can be substantial.
    • Standard full-time credit load: 14-16 U.S. semester-hour credits. The total number of courses will vary depending on the credit weighting of each course.

    • Student Union caters to all social, cultural and athletic tastes; Student Services provide and coordinate welfare, information and counseling.
    • Public access workstations, linked to the College’s central computers and the internet, are available to students. Some King’s residences also offer internet access in the bedrooms.
    • King’s Library and Information Services offer multimedia and electronic resources through the library and information services centers (ISCs) and website.
    • Students live in apartments or residence halls with local students in self-catered single rooms with the option of a private or shared bathroom.
